About this deal

I’ve been reading Elle Kennedy for some time now. She is one of my most read authors and while this series hasn’t been my favourite, I did want to finish it. It’s been nearly two weeks since I finished The Dareand I’m still not sure how I feel about it. There are parts that I loved and others that didn’t sit well with me. But the ritualistic practice of college kids plying each other with mind-altering substances until they mistake inebriation for attraction and inhibition for personality isn’t our fondest idea of a good time. Over the years since she started writing, Elle’s work has not gone unnoticed, this is clearly evident from the fact that over the years since the release of her debut title, she has won several high profiled awards linked to writing and her other books earning her a fair amount of nominations for other equally prestigious awards. I peer at the screen and groan. Oh man, it’s only eleven p.m.? I already feel a migraine coming on. she was ranked 1st place in the Golden Rose contemporary for her amazing work in the book titled “Dance of Seduction”.

I don’t know if he hears me or understands my contempt, but he nods and strolls away just the same.

Ha! I knew you were into him! Oh my God! Hold my juice—I think I need to break out in a happy dance! Do you know how to do the running man? If so, can you teach me right now?” This has the desired effect of loosening her shoulders and even eliciting a shy smile. “I have no doubt.” Even crazier, now he wants to keep pretending. Turns out Conor loves games, and he thinks it’s fun to pull the wool over my frenemies’ eyes. Well, it's a new year and I get to celebrate a new release too--The Heartbreak Sheriff, the second book in my Small-Town Scandals mini-series. This story features Finn, the gruff, sexy sheriff who's looking for a second chance with the woman he loves---except he just arrested her, so that second chance might be a tad difficult to earn... Like it wouldn’t be so offensive if there was a melody, at least. This…” Sasha crinkles her nose, and her head twitches to a siren wail that blares through the surround sound system before another shattering bass line thunders in. “This is some shit the CIA used on doped-out MKUltra test subjects.”

Get ready for another binge-worthy romance from New York Times and international bestselling author Elle Kennedy! I grin at her visible nervousness. It’s cute. While I stretch out my six-foot-two frame amid the stuffed animals and decorative pillows on the bed, she remains the startled rabbit plastered against the door and breathing heavily. Taylor laughs out a breath and with it she releases a bit more tension. She’s got a nice smile. Bright, warm. It takes a bit more coaxing, however, to get her on the bed. Oh, sweetie,” she says to me, with the glassy stare of a girl who’s had a few too many. “Loosen up, it’s a party. You look like you just found another stretch mark.” The Dare is the most recent release into the Briar U series by Elle Kennedy. This has been such a fun series, I have fallen in love with this whole Briar U world and from the very beginning of the story, this author sets the tone of the story so beautifully, and boy, the LAUGHS, I found this book beyond entertaining in multiple of forms. This author definitely writes this genre that I look for, where we get the drama, but its not overdone or overplayed, just fits well with the age of the characters that we see here. The more I watch her, hands braced at her sides against the door, one knee bent, dirty-blonde hair a little messy and draped over one shoulder, I can’t help picturing myself holding her arms above her head while I explore her body with my mouth. She’s got very kissable skin. There were a few problems that arose for me while reading The Dare.I wasn’t a massive fan of how body image was presented throughout the novel. At first, I enjoyed that Taylor was curvy. But then it became all about that. I felt that her insecurities too over the novel, but not in a good way. I just want a novel where there is a curvy/plus size protagonist and it doesn’t come down to her weight or how she looks. That would be nice. I also felt that there were a few moments throughout the novel that made me cringe and second guess what I was reading. They were just some side remarks that didn’t sit well with me. The Dare Briar U, Book 4 Get ready for another binge-worthy romance from New York Times bestselling author Elle Kennedy!

Horror slams into me as I register what I'm seeing. Oh God. I've stumbled onto a penis convention. Big penises and small penises and fat penises and penis-shaped penises. It doesn't matter which direction I move my head because everywhere I look I see penises.” Now let’s see…” Our house vice president puts one manicured finger to her chin and turns in a slow circle to survey the room, deciding on her first victim. “Who shall it be?” How did I go so long without noticing you, damn it? Why did it take seeing a stupid A on your midterm to make me notice?” Elle is very passionate about her work. This is clearly evident from the fact that she has on several occasions admitted to having fun with the characters who she create in her books for her audiences. For instance, in her book, midnight rescue, she admits to being very fond of Morgan’s mercenaries expressing her love for their tight knit bond including the close relationship between Abby and her fellow female colleagues. Elle has also admitted how much fun it is to explore the dynamics between all her characters while writing. Any issues with the book list you are seeing? Or is there an author or series we don’t have? Let me know! Our romances have it all: hopef Harlequin Books is the global leader in series romance and one of the world's leading publishers of books for women. She scans the room, standing on her tiptoes to peer over people’s heads and get a thorough look at available options. A wide grin spreads out across her face when she turns to me again. Sorry to burst your bubble, but you were actually pointing at the old guy a few seats over. He totally freaked out and started shouting to everyone that you scored that goal for him, and then I heard him ask his wife if maybe you knew that he was just diagnosed with diabetes, so I didn’t have the heart to tell him who the goal was really for.”

But resisting his easy charm and surfer-boy hotness is darn near impossible. Though I’m realizing there’s much more to Conor’s story than his fan club can see. This group is for those who want to discuss Harlequin books, participate in reading challenges, and meet new friends. I want to murder him in his sleep, A. No, I want to murder him when he’s awake so he can see the joy on my face when I do it.” A New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author, Elle Kennedy grew up in the suburbs of Toronto, Ontario, and holds a B.A. in English from York University. From an early age, she knew she wanted to be a writer, and actively began pursuing that dream when she was a teenager. The romance in The Darewas really enjoyable. I liked that Taylor and Conor were friends before anything. It added something more to their romance and I loved that. They were adorable together, it just made me smile. I love the fake dating trope and this was a fun way to look at it. The chemistry is very clear from the start and the reader gets to see both Taylor and Conor fall for one another.

Our romances have it all: hopeful fresh starts, dramatic family sagas, unexpected twists and turns. Every story is a journey—to move you, uplift you, inspire and delight you. A feeling like no other. #ThatHarlequinFeeling Of course her evil green eyes land squarely on where Sasha and I are plastered against the wall. Abigail strides up to us with pure sugary malice. Looking more into how she does her writing, it is clearly evident that her characters definitely come first during her writing. More specifically, she claims to always get ideas for really awesome characters and then take time to thoroughly brain storm the ideas right until she comes up with the best world to place them in. a perfect example of how she is able to achieve this is in her book midnight rescue in which she claims to have had a heroine in mind in advance of course alongside other main characters in the book. What followed was simply the piecing together of smaller sections of her imagination for the book which was done and ended up with a rather solid plot.
