I’m all for free speech, I’m all for everyone being in charge of their own bodies, I’m also all for dissemination of the whole truth and all the facts, which this book purports to be and definitely is not. The history of that transformation involves famine, poverty, filth, lost cures, eugenicist doctrine, individual. This book is filled with statistical analysis, primary source quotes, and photographs- but is still an interesting read! As such, the book is not presented as a rigorous scientific text on the same level as journal articles. There's a reason We Are Legion was named Audible's Best Science Fiction Book of 2016: Its irresistibly irreverent wit!

This book hardly needs any more 5-star reviews, so rather than reiterate what others have said positively about it, I thought I’d take the time to address a couple of the 1-star reviews which, unlike the vast majority of other negative comments, actually contained what appeared to be substantive and thoughtful responses to the point that, in reading them, I was almost dissuaded from purchasing and reading this book.

This is a warning people, going down this road and reading these books, having these discussions, making these choices for your kids offers nothing but pain, these societies around the planet don't like us thinking for ourselves, its too dangerous for them for us to think, so strap on your Nikes, log into your fantasy football league, make some comments on FB and stay there where its normal and safe, because this path that I am on is a frigging nightmare. One Thursday lunchtime the Earth gets unexpectedly demolished to make way for a new hyperspace bypass.

As with Rintoul, she is guilty of the same kind of unconscionable lies and mischaracterizations for which she attacks the authors.
