About this deal

We did Dalby upper green a few times with it and it mean’t the kids could do a fair bit of riding and get towed when they got lazy tired. One thing to note about those two quick release pins… when you take them off, you could easily lose them.

That may sound a bit weird and it feels a little embarrassing to say it, but… It’s honestly pretty amazing and tons of fun. Here you'll find our company details, answers to frequently asked questions and different ways to get in touch with us. Sometimes we screw them back into the axle adapters on the bike, but we don’t like having them on the bike all the time just in case they come loose or get damaged. I’m hoping I can source a replacement bolt from the UK distributor of FollowMe Tandem, so I can get it working again and back on the road. The FollowMe has got a small turning circle, and with more experience I’d be confident to negotiate the barriers I pushed around this time. So, I usually put the pannier on the front rack even when I don't have my son in his rear-rack seat. But then again the FollowMe Tandem is not something that you can explain in just a couple of minutes. It's essentially a one-person place that came up with the concept, so I can see that a fundamentally re-worked version is not going to happen any time soon. The next day when I went to refit the down tube bracket, I noticed there was some damage to the down tube, where the bracket must have been rubbing before we spotted it had worked loose.

I asked the reseller (Clever Cycles) three times whether my disc brakes would be a problem, and each time they assured me without question that the FollowMe Tandem Coupling was fully compatible with disc brakes and I would have no problem. It is a faff getting it set up at first but once you’ve got it all straight you know what needs doing the next time you use it. If you want to up your game to the next level and add an extra layer of protection, you can simply install an additional MudGuard. Let’s talk about what it is, what it does, how it works, if it’s worth your hard-earned cash and, most, importantly, if it is a safe gadget for YOUR next family bike tour.

I’m not entirely sure how the down tube bracket worked loose, it was definitely tightened when I fitted it. Installing the FollowMe tandem to your own and your kid’s bike is pretty straightforward and anyone who isn’t totally incapable of holding a wrench without doing harm to himself should be able to do it!The trailer is in use avery day, year round, for about three years now, first with a 14" bike, then a 16" bike, now a 20" bike. The clearance from the centre of my back wheel to the driving surface of the tire cannot exceed 380mm or 38cm On one bike it will likely not clear, the other may have another 0. The FollowMe, on the other hand, is mounted right to your rear axle, where the frame is designed to handle all forces coming from your rear tire; and it can easily handle that additional stress that comes from your FollowMe tandem. This adapter will be necessary if the front wheel of the child’s bike you wish to attach to the FollowMe has a hollow axle in the front wheel hub. Riding your bike with the FollowMe and your kid attached in “tandem mode” isn’t harder than riding a bike all by yourself.
